A loan of $1,850 helped a member to buy ranch chickens.

El Capulin (Flat) Group's story

The group is called El Capulín and is made up of three women. They each make a living performing their economic activity and live in a locality called Miguel Hidalgo.

Elísea was interviewed. She lives in a common law marriage with Claudio with whom she has seven children who still in her care.

She requested the loan to invest in the purchase and sale of ranch chicken which she later sells butchered where she has been working for fifteen years. She says that things are going well for her since she has been able to obtain income for her household with the loan.

She began this economic activity since she also wants to contribute to the household earnings so that her family isn't lacking anything that's most necessary.

What she would like is for this small economic activity to continue moving forward until it can support her children's' education so that they can also get ahead.

The members of the group are:

Flavia, who will invest the loan in the purchase and sale of pigs to sell by the kilo; and Soraida, who will invest it in the purchase and sale of jewelry.

In this group: Flavia, Soraida, Elisea
