Alice's story

Alice 41 years old, is married to a businessman and blessed with three children ranging from 5 to 12 years old.

Alice likes the work she does of running a grocery store within a fast growing shopping center known for selling good fruits and nice cheap clothes. She sells bananas, maize, beans, onions, tomatoes etc. The customers that come to buy from her are local residents and visitors from other towns. She has one employee.

Alice is facing a business environment of stiff competition within the area. She plans to use her first loan of KES 20,000 to add stock of peas, bananas and maize to attract customers with the stock, and with this she hopes the sales volume will increase.

She plans to use the anticipated profits to buy more stock of goods to supply to retailers.
