A loan of $4,200 helped a member to buy glycerin, scents, dyes and other supplies.

San Jose Group's story

This committee is a very active, united group that’s in its 8th cycle. They are female heads of household who are the sole support of their homes. They strive hard for their children and families to give them what they need so that they won’t lack anything.

Irene is a group member. She has a soap factory where she herself manufactures it with her husband and children who have always been with her in everything. Because of the time she’s been in this she’s been growing thanks to her efforts and also thanks to Fundación Paraguaya.

She requested the loan to buy ingredients like glycerin, scents, dyes and other supplies needed to continue making the soaps she sells. She is grateful for the opportunity she’s getting from Kiva and Fundación Paraguaya.

In this group: Maria Estela, Irene, Teodosia, Marcelina, Birina, Catalina, Catalina, Maria, Sonia, Venancia, Gladys, Remigia, Maria, Maria, Teresa, Lis, Telma, Justa
