Señor De Coylloriti Group's story

A group of neighbors and friends formed the “Senor de Coylloriti” communal bank in the district of Cusco. The communal bank is composed of a dozen people who are always searching for opportunities to get ahead, and with their daily efforts, to provide a better future for their children. The members' economic activities are, for example; selling products of primary necessity, clothing, meals, kebabs, cosmetics, delicacies, and buying and selling tourist tickets, plus other services. Ana, who is raising her hand in the photograph, was born in the city of Cusco and lives in the same city where she was born. She is 60 years old, married, and 8 children are the fruit of this union. Ana's principal economic activity is selling kebabs on the street of her neighborhood. On this occasion, Ana needs a loan to buy supplies; for example, meat, potatoes, and oil to prepare kebabs.

The members in general are grateful for the loan opportunity offered and they commit themselves to making their payments as scheduled.

Cusco is located in the district, province, and department of Cusco, right in the heart of the ancient city of the Incas. It is characterized as a tourist zone with its archaeological and historical centers, its landscapes and its history, and for being an enchanting city in the Southern Region of the country. Cusco is also known as a very touristy and commercial zone, and famous for its traditional fiesta of Inti Raymi, and because, nearby, one encounters Macchu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world.
