A loan of $1,025 helped a member to buy more food items for her business.


Sauda's Uzomboko Group's story

Sauda is 35 years old and is married with 2 children, ages 21 and 15 years old. She and her husband also take care of 2 other children, ages 7 and 2 years old. Sauda started her food and fruits selling business in 2006. Everyday, she works from 8am to 9pm at her business and can earn a monthly profit of about $250 from her sales.


She now hopes for a loan to buy more food items for her business. She will share this loan with her subgroup members Mwema and Mwajabu, who have businesses dealing in food sales.
