Chido Group's story

This is 52-year-old Gilbert from Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. He is single with five children, one attending school.

Gilbert runs a retail business selling clothes and footwear. The business has been in operation for 32 years. He says the main challenges faced are stiff competition. Gilbert has requested a loan of $600 to buy clothes for resale. With the extra income generated as a result of this loan, Gilbert will be able improve the general welfare of his family. In the future Gilbert plans to own an number of clothing shops in and around the capital city Harare.
