A loan of $1,325 helped a member to buy fruit.

Responsabilidad Y Progreso Group's story

Nancy, 48, has a spouse and five children one of which still depends on her. She’s been with Edaprospo for 8 months and she has been selling ice-cream and snacks for four years. She used to work at a low-cost eatery and started with the idea of building her house and providing higher education to her children. With her effort and work she’s managed to put four of her children through school.

She currently uses her income to cover food costs while her husband covers water, electricity and telephone. Her plan for the future is to open a tire repair shop.

She used her loan to buy fruit and to equip her business. Nancy belongs to the “Responsabilidad y Progreso” (Responsibility and Progress) communal bank which has six members and she’s been its president for 8 months.
