A loan of $650 helped to buy medicine that turns around more quickly for her pharmacy..

Ada Luz's story

Ada Luz, age 53, lives in a tradional neighborhood with her husband. She has a 28 year old daughter. She sells medicine at a rented spot in front of the city hospital.

She started her business 15 years ago with her own resources from her work as a nurse. She did this in order to support her family’s well-being and to contribute to the household expenses.

Her business location in front of the hospital is opportune for increasing her sales more and more, her profits, and her work capital to buy the medicines she needs. They are her greatest challenge because they do not have a sufficient turn around for her sales plan.

She is currently applying for her first Kiva loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She will use the loan to buy medicine that turns around more quickly for her pharmacy.

Her goal is to increase her volume of sales and to keep her pharmacy well-stocked.

Her dream for later on is to have her own home. She focuses her efforts on this dream in order to have a more comfortable future.
