Samoeurn's story

Samoeurn, 62, is widowed and resides with two children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice and fattening cattle for over 20 years, earning approximately US $3 per day. Two of her children are employed as a construction worker and a motor taxi driver, earning approximately US $5 per day. Due to the family's transportation difficulties, Samoeurn has requested a loan of US $1,500 to purchase a motorbike to commute. This purchase would enable her to use the saved money from her transportation expenses to support the family. In the future, Samoeurn would like to run a motor repair shop for her son and build a new house.
