Samoeurn, 62, is widowed and resides with two children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice and fattening cattle for over 20 years, earning approximately US $3 per day. Two of her children are employed as a construction worker and a motor taxi driver, earning approximately US $5 per day.
Due to the family's transportation difficulties, Samoeurn has requested a loan of US $1,500 to purchase a motorbike to commute. This purchase would enable her to use the saved money from her transportation expenses to support the family. In the future, Samoeurn would like to run a motor repair shop for her son and build a new house.
