Sokunthea, 37, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. She and her husband have been involved in making creels (a type of small wicker basket) to sell for over ten years, earning approximately US $7 per day. In order to improve her business, Sokunthea is requesting a loan of US $1,000 to purchase a motorbike and a trailer for delivering her creels to sell. This purchase would enable her to carry more of her creels to sell faster. In the future, she would like to use the further profit to expand her business and help her children get bachelor's degrees.
