Rosa Angelica's story

Rosa is a member of the “El Crédito” communal bank. She lives in the city of Cuenca, a place with a cold climate. It’s a city that’s privileged because of its culture and traditions. Since December, 1999 it’s been a Cultural Patrimony of Humanity. Its cuisine is varied and enchants both locals and foreigners alike. Its people are noted for being kind and pleasant.

Rosa is 55 years old, married and has had five children who are all adults, married and living on their own. Her husband is a driver and provides taxi services in a taxi he owns. The house they live in is their property.

Rosa has had a grocery store for the last 10 years. She works Sunday to Sunday with no fixed schedule. She’s also been selling dressed chickens for the last two years. She’s been in the3 communal bank for 8 years and will use her new loan to buy foodstuffs for her store. Her goal is to continue growing in her store.
