Sarom, 52, is widowed and resides with three children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing vegetables to sell for over twenty years, earning approximately USD 3 per day. All of her children are employed. They are a truck driver, a barber and a fish vendor. Approximately, they earn USD 12 per day.
In order to improve her family’s living conditions, Sarom is requesting a loan of USD 1100 to raise capital for her child's business for purchasing more fish to resell. This money would enable her child to generate more profit to support the family. In the future, she would like to rebuild her present house to make it bigger and stronger to provide better living conditions for the family.
