A loan of $750 helped to buy clothes.

Maria Luisa's story

María’s a hardworking, enterprising woman who is managing to get ahead little by little. She became a micro businesswoman at the instant she started selling clothes from place to place, an activity she’s been doing now for about four years. Thanks to her work in a large agricultural plantation she was able to gradually save up enough to be able to buy her merchandise.

María is hoping that the business will gradually make progress so that she can start to build a small boutique which she’s dreamed of for a long time. She knows that if she manages to do so she will have a secure source of income and will no longer have to go out on foot every day under the huge sun that’s always above the city of Ica, Perú and all its inhabitants.

With a little bit of help, María will be able to buy much more clothing (polo shirts, shorts, pants, etc.) because not only is she running out of the ones she currently sells but she will also be able to stock up on fall clothes her customers are needing. With this support, María feels capable of attaining success and thus improve her quality of life much more so that at some point she will attain what she’s so desired: “Her own boutique.”
