Security Group's story

Zubeda, who is in her mid 40s, is married with five children, two of whom are still in school and three of whom are grown-ups. Zubeda has been running several small businesses. She has been selling clothes door-to-door and selling local ice cream and ice cubes for six years. She works from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon (for two hours only) and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be her 1st loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She wants to use the loan to buy more clothes, local ice cream, and ice cubes for resale. Her dream is to be able to build her own house one day.

She will share this loan with her loan group, "Security," which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
