Sokhearn, 50, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She is a homemaker. Her husband is a truck driver who earns approximately USD 4 per day. Her two children are employed by a rubber plantation. They earn about USD 10 per day. Due to the difficulty in the family’s transportation situation, Sokhearn is requesting a loan of USD 1,200 to purchase a motorbike to commute. This purchase would enable her to use the saved money on her transportation expenses to support the family. In the future, she would like to run an additional business to generate more income to support the family.
