A loan of $175 helped to buy local products for the preparation of juice and cream.

Fatou's story

Fatou is a 34-year-old woman who lives in a suburban neighborhood in Senegal. She is actively involved in small retail business and sells fruit juices and cream. She has chosen this activity because she wanted to increase her income. She is a member of one of the UIMCEC branches and has already repaid a previous loan. With this loan, she will buy supplies for the preparation of the juices and cream that she sells. Fatou would like to anticipate her customers' demand. With larger profits, she is able to better provide for herself and to help her husband manage the daily expenses.
