Sozulkan's story

Sozulkan is 54 years old, a widow and has four children. She works as a Kyrgyz language and literature teacher. Sozulkan became involved in animal husbandry 16 years ago, having started this business with an initial amount of 18,000 som (KGS). At the present time, her business contains one dairy cow, two bulls and ten sheep, and yields about 5,000 som (KGS) per month from sales of milk and milk products. In order to further develop her business, Sozulkan requested a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy additional heads of livestock. She plans to invest the earnings from the loan into a continued expansion of her business.
