A loan of $375 helped to buy fertilizers for her crops.

Luis Leoncio's story

Luis is 59 and single. He lives in his parents' home and doesn't have any direct dependents. He lives on the urban edge of the district of Lambayeque. His home has running water. The place where he lives is a small community with approximately 100 families. Luis Leoncio raises and sells animals, which he has done for 10 years. He also grows rice, which he hopes to harvest and sell at the local market. He will use this loan to buy fertilizers and manure for his rice crop. The rest of his crop will go towards the purchase of animals. He has additional income, which is a product of his agricultural work.

The requested amount of the loan is 1,000 PEN. Luis hopes that with the harvest of his rice crop, he will be able to use it as an initial investment to buy a motorcycle so he can get to his farmland more quickly.
