A loan of $275 helped to buy products to fry such as beans, meats, cabbage, etc.

Maria Elena's story

Maria, 24, is from Granada and is a single mother with one son. She has sold fried foods, main dishes, and soups for four years. She started her business selling the fried items on weekends and as she gained experience and customers, she began to sell other food and beans because she needed to make more money to be able to pay for her studies. She wanted to learn about the business since this was her first try. The business helped support her mother and one of the things that she learned was how to improve what she was doing.
She is requesting a loan to buy products for her fried foods such as plantains, meat, cabbage, etc, everything that she needs for the business. The financing will help her to have a better set up so that she can generate more earnings to have a better stand.
