With the idea of helping out with household expenses and helping her husband with the education of their children (who at the time were all minors) Vilma decided to open a business 12 years ago, and since then Vilma has gone to work every day at the market in her district. At her stand she sells all types of seasonings for cooking and also cleaning products.

Her husband works as a mechanic and fortunately always supports Vilma in everything. She has no limitations and plans to keep working as long as she has the strength to do so. For the time being, what she would like most is to be able to expand her store so that she has more space to put more merchandise.

Translated from Spanish by Molly Puglisi, Kiva volunteer.
