A loan of $3,325 helped a member to buy ice-cream to sell.

Kuña Pojoaju Group's story

This communal bank was set up thanks to one of the members, who was already part of another foundation, and who decided to set up another communal bank where she could also help her neighbors and friends.

Lidia is one of the members, she is the chair of the group, and she tells us that she makes her living by selling ice-creams of all flavors and of a high quality. It is thanks to this work that she been able to support her family and give them what they need from one day to the next without going short. She describes herself as very hardworking and a fighter, and someone who is very keen on getting ahead and continuing to work.

She is seeking the loan to buy ice-cream, which she can continue to be well-stocked, and that way offer her customers a larger variety.
