Later on, she learned that the micro-finance institution Hekima was granting micro-loans, and she received her first loan of 50 USD, which helped her strengthen her business. With the profits from her business, she is able to put some money into savings, feed her children and pay for their school fees. She has now received her ninth loan. During that period of time, in spite of the looming financial crisis, she has seen her business thrive. This is why she has decided to request a larger loan amount for this new cycle. This new loan will help her to purchase 10 crates of drinks (Fanta, Primus, Coca Cola).
She would like to see her children grow. She thanks Hekima for its action in favor of the empowerment of poor women excluded from the traditional banking system.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
