Anonymous Group's story

The client is a member of this group of borrowers, and a teacher in a catholic school. At 34 years old, she is a dynamic, ambitious, self-taught entrepreneur who sells cell phone units. She and her husband, who was recently let go from his position, support each other in conducting this business. She started this activity using her meager teacher’s salary. She later learned about microfinancing through the Hekima MFI, and obtained a first loan of $50 to strengthen her business. Profits from her activity are added to her savings and used to buy food and to provide for her children’s tuition. This is her 11th loan cycle. Having witnessed the positive growth of her activity over time, she decided to apply for a larger amount. This new loan will allow her to buy 250 cell phone unit cards (Vodacom, MTN, Air Tel, CCT). She hopes to see her children grow up, and she would like to purchase some land. She wishes to thank the Hekima MFI for helping poor women who don’t have access to traditional banks to become self-sufficient. It should be mentioned that some of the borrowers are gently carrying their babies.
