Ronak's story

Ronak is a 43-year-old Iraqi woman who is married and a mother of five children.

She learned to sew at a young age and, using her old machine, she has been using her skills for the past five years to contribute to the family's income. Working from her home, she makes dresses and other fabric household items based on her customers' orders.

Ronak took a loan from Relief International - Microfinance Iraq in the amount of 1,800 USD to buy a new sewing machine, an overlock machine, and fabric to be able to improve her services and be able to offer more to her customers.
