Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Taalaibu's story

Today, Taalaibu's farm has 1 dairy cow with a calf, 1 heifer, 6 sheep, 4 goats, and a horse, and currently earns roughly 10,000 som (KGS) per month from sales of milk and dairy products. In order to continue developing her business, Taalaibu has turned to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to purchase young livestock. She plans to invest a portion of her profits from this loan to purchase construction materials to repair a shed, and to further expand her business in the future.
