A loan of $500 helped to buy bananas, chicken, meat, and cabbage.

Ana Lisbeth's story

Ana, 31, is from León. She is a storekeeper by trade, in the food business. She is the mother of two children, for whom she is responsible. She started her business helping her mother make food. Then she decided to work on her own, setting up her own food business five years ago and always receiving her mother's help because both of them cook. She sells her products in her community and to the people who walk around the area and stop to try her dishes. She has other income because she receives remittances from her life partner. She is requesting the loan to buy bananas, chicken, meat, and cabbage as well as all the ingredients necessary to make her dishes. This will help her have a reserve because the prices of the products keep going up even more every day.
