A loan of $600 helped to buy seeds and farm supplies.

Purificacion's story

Purificación, 33, lives in a village in Intibucá. He’s been married for 12 years and is the father of three children who are attending school.

Purificación started working in agriculture when he was a little boy and for the last 18 years approximately has been growing vegetables like carrots, cilantro, potatoes and beans. This activity is the community’s only source of income.

He has requested several loans from ODEF that have helped him improve his level of production. He’s currently asking for an 11000 lempira loan to buy seeds and supplies for his vegetable crops. His plan is that with the investment his productive level will increase and so will his family’s standard of living.
