Carlos's story

Carlos is from Malacatoya, Granada but he lives in Teustepe in the city of Boaco. He is married and the father of 5 children who are all older in age. He started working with other growers in the same community when he was twelve years old. He always received support from her mom and help with making bread and now, help for his children. At the age of twenty, he decided to become independent and started to work for himself by growing corn, tomatoes and sweet peppers. His work is supported by MiCrédito. He would like to sell his products in other places at a better price. His main business is selling corn since it is one of the products generates good income. The loan will be used to purchase fertilizers, pesticides and gasoline for the irrigation pump, so he can have good corn production. His future plans are to continue working and purchase more machinery for work. His next goal is to purchase a variety of apples.
