A loan of $1,500 helped to buy animal feed.

Catalino's story

Catalino is from Potrerillo-Teustepe County. He is married and has four children, three of which live independently, and the youngest daughter, 21, studies public accounting. Catalino started working at a health center when he was 18, and began saving his money until he married at the age of 25. With the support of a micro-loan he began buying and selling livestock for a living. Now he owns a private farm with dairy cattle, and sells in Juigalpa, although he says he would like to sell elsewhere at better prices.

Catalino hopes to increase his heads of cattle since there is more market demand. He is requesting a loan to buy animal feed that will help maintain a good weight and size for his livestock. One of his goals for the future is to improve his farm.
