To help with the diverse family expenses, Maïmounath has been selling clothing and kitchen utensils for six years via the distribution system. She gets her supplies in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales and revenues, Maïmounath is requesting, along with the other members of the group MAHUDJRO, a fifth loan from ALIDé. The previous loan were indeed paid back.

Le groupe MAHUDJRO est composé de cinq personnes qui résident dans le même quartier. C'est la cinquième fois que ce groupe sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de son activité. La représentante du groupe, du nom Maïmounath est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Maïmounath est âgée de 30 ans et vit au Bénin. Maïmounath a arrêté l’école au niveau primaire. Maïmounath est mariée à un revendeur du nom de Florent et est mère de trois enfants, tous scolarisés. Maïmounath vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les charges de la famille. Afin de contribuer aux diverses charges de la famille, Maïmounath vend depuis six ans, des vêtements et des ustensiles de cuisine par le système de distribution. Maïmounath s’approvisionne au Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Maïmounath sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe MAHUDJRO, un cinquième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Les crédits antérieurs ont été bien remboursés.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
