Flora's story

Flora is 54 years old. She lives in a village of Gardabani District, East Georgia. Flora is married and lives with her family - her husband, Massim, their two children (10 and 9 years old), and her mother-in-law. Flora works as a nurse in the village. Along with her main job, she is actively involved in a family agricultural business, which is the main source of the income for the family. In particular, the family has a small dairy farm with three milk cows. Flora produces cheese and sells it in the village. Also, she grows greens on a family-owned plot of land. Harvested greens are sold to local green grocer retailers. The total average monthly income of the family is 350 Laris.

Flora requested credit for purchasing an additional two milk cows. She will increase production and sale of cheese by 60% and the income of the family will increase on average by 300 Laris. She will use the increased income for purchasing additional household goods for improving the family's living conditions.
