Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $450 helped to purchase medical drugs for sale.

Penina's story

Penina lives in Yambio. She sells medical drugs, and has been in business for four years. She is 37 years old, married, and has five children. Three of them are still in school.

Penina heard about BRAC South Sudan from a credit officer. This is her third loan from BRAC. She has requested a loan of 1200 Sudanese pounds in order to purchase drugs. She will use her extra income from this loan to pay the school fees of her children.
