A loan of $750 helped to buy animals.

Rafael's story

Rafael is a man with a live-in partner and no dependent children. He lives with his partner in a rural community called La Estancia, which has 70 homes and is serviced with water and electricity, including churches and schools.

Rafael has been selling young animals, such as sheep and goats, from the hamlet where he lives for ten years. He brings the animals to the city of Chiclayo to sell. He is a well-known businessman with established customers.

The amount he is requesting is 2,000 nuevos soles, which he will use to purchase animals because after the rainy season there is sufficient pasture for him to feed them.
