A loan of $525 helped to purchase wood, corn, sugar, cans, and to cover the repairs of the area where she cooks the bread for her business..

Alba Luz's story

Alba is 43 years old and a single mother. She lives with her three children in their house located in a small village of San Lorenzo, Valle in southern Honduras. She has worked for more than 20 years producing and selling bread, donuts, quesadillas, and pineapple cakes. She travels from her community every day Monday through Saturday to the market in San Lorenzo to sell her products.

Alba is requesting 10,000.00 HNL to buy wood, corn, sugar, cans, and to cover the repairs of the area where she bakes the bread. With the investment from the loan she aspires to move forward with her business. She is already very happy because with these loans she is buying material to build her own house, as she has rented with her family for her entire life. Alba hopes that in the coming years she will be able to build her own house and that her children will have a place to live.
