Gulya's story

Gulya is 55 years old, married and raised four children. In search of a source of income for her family, she became involved in animal husbandry in 1995, starting this business with an initial amount of 10,000 som (KGS). Today Gulya's business contains four dairy cows, one calf, three sheep and one horse. The earnings from sales of milk and meat products range from 10,000 to 60,000 som (KGS) per quarter. In order to further develop her business, Gulya requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to purchase additional heads of livestock. She plans to invest the earnings into repairing a barn and expanding her business in the future.
