A loan of $1,300 helped to buy potato seedlings and fertilizer ahead of the sowing season.


Anna's story

Anna, who is 44 years old, lives in Ddmashen village, Gegharkunik region, where she runs an agricultural business. Anna has a plot of land where she grows potatoes and wheat to sell. Anna also breeds some cows, pigs, and chickens. Periodically, Anna and her husband rent a car and move their agricultural produce to Sevan and Hrazdan cities’ markets where they sell produced dairy products, eggs, potato and wheat. Anna sells the meat to re-sellers directly from her farm.
She has two sons, the younger one is serving in the Armenian army and the older one has recently returned from the army and now helps Anna on the farm.
Farming is the only source of income for Anna’s family so Anna intends to develop it. Therefore, she is asking for a $1,300 loan to buy potato seedlings and fertilizer ahead of the sowing season.
This is Anna’s fourth loan from Nor Horizon and she has never delayed her repayments.
