A loan of $600 helped to buy raw material to make crafts.

Nube Luz's story

Nube Luz is 45 years old and she lives with her family in a community in the province of Guanacaste called Guaitil. The Guanacaste area's economy is founded mainly on ranching, though beekeeping and farming are also practiced in the region.

For several years now, Nube Luz has made and sold ceramic decorations for a living. She buys raw material and works it, finishes it, and sells it on the market. She has had good results from this business as she has been very successful in her community.

She has been able to offer another person work, as the finishing process is very delicate and she also needs to go out and sell her products.

Nube Luz is currently asking for a loan for 300,000 colones to buy raw material, in other words raw clay, as well as to buy paints and other materials needed to complete her projects.

Nube Luz is a member of the Empresa de Crédito Comunal de Guaitil Communal Bank and she is very thankful for the opportunity to have the access to credit that the bank offers her and to be able to complete her life's projects.
