A loan of $225 helped to buy corn and firewood.

Maria Segunda's story

María is 40 and lives with her husband and 3 children, who are 11, 6, and 1 1/2. She makes a living selling tortillas, which she learned how to do 3 years ago. She does this because of the need to have more income to feed and educate their children. Her schedule is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. She is requesting a loan to buy more corn and firewood. With these materials, she will be able to maintain her business and her production of tortillas so her customers can count on finding this food. María's dream is to see her children grow up healthily and to be able to help them with their studies.
