Mohammed's story

Mohammed, 33, owns a salt store that's been in operation for about three years and is located in Taiz, Yemen, where he lives with his four children, ages 2 to 10 years old. With his sales, that are mainly to two important clients in the city, he's able to cover family and operational costs. He's currently applying for a loan of 100,000 Yemeni rials from AMB to buy salt to meet customers' demand. His goal for later on is to have a truck of his own to transport the salt materials but his working capital is insufficient at the moment to reach it.
