Alons Group's story

This group is called ALONS, and it consists of five members who are all women: Maha, Salamh, Alieh, Mriam and Alieh. They are from Hodiedah, Yemen, and they know each other very well as they have lived in the same neighborhood for a long time. The members took a loan of 130,000 YER. Maha is one of the group's members. She is 25 years old and single. (In the photo, she stands in the center, holding the red wallet.) She sells ice cream. She started her business after the death of her father in order to provide her mother and sister with income. She tells us it is going well because these ice creams are eaten throughout the day and year round. She is requesting a youth loan of 30,000 YER from AMB to buy ice cream from a retail shop. In this way, she can meet the demands of her customers. Her goal is to be able to keep working and supporting her family.
