A loan of $550 helped to restock a general store.

Meti Piedad's story

Meti Piedad I. S. runs a general store near the city of Pucallpa, Ucayali. From a room she built onto her home, she sells fruit, vegetables, toiletries, and other products to the people of her neighborhood. She has a good location on the corner of a small plaza with many neighbors.

Meti is 26 years old, a mother of two and is happily married. With her little store, she can earn money and take care of her children. Meti is very hard working; she wakes up early in the morning to purchase goods from the main market of Pucallpa and prepare for the day. She dreams of sending her children to university and so she saves carefully daily.

A member of the community bank Las Lumbreras, Meti is requesting a loan of s/1500 to repay in 6 months. With the loan Meti would like to restock her store with rice, milk, sodas, oil, and more.
