A loan of $725 helped to purchase goods for selling (oil, peanuts, flour, juice, etc.).

Lucrencia's story

She was born in the town of Chimoio, province of Manica, central Mozambique. She's a widow and has four children - only two of them attend school, the others have already started their own families. She completed 7th grade and stopped because her parents lacked financial conditions. She lives with her family in a house she owns and also supports three grandchildren who live with her.
She left Chimoio for Maputo, in the district of Boane, when she got married. She has been a businesswoman for over 16 years. She sells various products and earns an income of about 6.400mt. She uses it to pay for home expenses and also saves part of it in her bank account.
She has never had loans in other banks. She first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this institution. This is her third loan with Hluvuku. It is for 20.000mt, which she intends to use to purchase goods in order to increase the quantity of her merchandise (oil, peanuts, flour, juice, etc.). The previous loans were for 15.000mt and 15.000mt, for her retail business.
She pledges to make her repayments as scheduled. In the future she plans to expand her business so that she can keep her customers satisfied. For that purpose she plans to request more loans from Hluvuku.
