A loan of $800 helped to purchase goods for selling (rice, flour, beans, refreshments, etc.).

Teresa's story

She was born in the town of Matola, province of Maputo, southern Mozambique. She's single and has six children - three of them attend school, the others have already started their own families. She completed 2nd grade and stopped because her parents lacked financial conditions. She lives with her family in a house she owns and also supports her grandson who lives with her.
She has been a businesswoman for over 20 years. She sells various products and earns an income of about 5.000mt. She uses it to pay for home expenses and also saves part of it in her bank account.
She has never had loans with other banks. She first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this institution. This is her 14th loan with Hluvuku. It is for 22.000mt, which she intends to use to purchase goods in order to increase the quantity of her merchandise (rice, flour, beans, refreshments, etc.). The previous loans were for 3.900mt, 4.500mt, 5.100mt, 7.310mt, 8.072mt, 10.000mt, 10.393mt, 12.000mt, 12.248mt, 15.000mt, 16.616mt, 22.000mt and 25.022mt, for her business.
She pledges to make her repayments as scheduled. In the future she intends to expand her business, and for that purpose she plans to request more loans from Hluvuku.
