A loan of $750 helped to purchase construction supplies in order to build her home (iron, sand, rocks, cement, etc.).

Ana's story

She was born in the district of Chibuto, province of Gaza, southern Mozambique. She's single and has three children - two of them attend school, the other one hasn't yet reached school age. She completed 10th grade, graduated as a teacher and stopped studying due to lack of time. She lives with her family in a house she owns and also supports her parents by sending money to help with food expenses. She left Chibuto for Maputo, in the district of Boane, on a work assignment. She has been a teacher for over 29 years and earns a salary of 10.200mt. She uses it to pay for home expenses and also saves part of it in her bank account. She has had a loan with BIM and managed to repay it without difficulties. She first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this institution. This is her 5th loan with Hluvuku. It is for 20.000mt, which she intends to use to purchase construction supplies in order to build her house (iron, sand, rocks, cement, etc). The previous loans were for 8.000mt, 10.000mt, 15.000mt and 17.000mt, for housing expenses. She pledges to make her repayments as scheduled. In the future she intends to finish building her home and to purchase a vehicle. For that purpose she plans to request more loans from Hluvuku.
