Enma Albertina's story

Enma Albertina, 65, is married and has six children whose ages range from 18 to 45 years; she lives in La Ceiba, Atlántida.

Enma opened her own shoe shop 25 years ago that she’s been running with her husband. She offers all services related to shoe making and shoe repair. She also sells food like lunch generating additional income. She works all day running the shoe shop and selling lunches.

She started out with her own funds and then consolidated it with loans and with the profits she’s managed to enlarge her house. She is currently asking ODEF for her fifth loan to invest in materials and supplies needed for shoe repairs like: leather, glue, taps, insoles, thread and others. Her plan is to continue offering quality service and to produce more and improve every day.
