A loan of $1,325 helped to hire farmworkers and to buy cacao plants.

Emiliano's story

Emiliano, 35, is married to Virginia, 30, and they have four children from this relationship. They live together in their own house located in the Vista Alegre neighborhood of the district of Sivia. Emiliano, according to his goals, has worked for 11 years growing coffee and cacao on his plot of farmland located in the community of Chuvivana, while his beloved wife works selling groceries.

Emiliano works growing cacao, for which he needs the help of two permanent farmworkers who always work for him. Currently he already has six hectares of cacao of which, thanks to his dedication, his annual harvest gives an average of 2,500 kg. of cacao. He always feels proud of this quantity and excited about continuing to increase his cacao plants more.

This is his fourth loan with MFP, and he promises to make his payments punctually. He is happy about having a very close communal bank.

With the 3,500 nuevos soles (PEN) he will increase his cacao plants, for which he will buy more plants and hire farmworkers.
