Gbenonkpo Group's story

GBENONKPO is a group composed of fourteen persons whose members reside in the same district and who run revenue-generating businesses. The group's representative, Albertine (whose hand is raised in the photo), is 37 years old. She is married to a farmer named Houétokpo. They have five children, some of whom are in school. All the children are in their care. Albertine lives together with her husband and children. The couple jointly ensure the diverse household expenses are covered. To cope with her different expenses, Albertine sells grains, and palm oil on the side, in regions of Benin. She gets her supplies in Benin. With the goal of expanding her business to be more competitive in the market, Albertine, along with the other members of the group GBENONKPO, is requesting an initial loan from ALIDé.
