A loan helped to buy sewing supplies.

Rosa Elena's story

Rosa Elena, 41, is a single mother of five children who are 16, 14, 12, 10, and 6 years old; all attend school. She lives with them in La Lopez in Choloma, Cortes. Rosa’s income producing business is a sewing workshop. She set it up at home ten years ago. The types of things she makes are: bed sets, shirts and curtains. She says that she finds quite a few customers so her items sell well. This business has helped her cover household expenses. She says that having her own business has also made it possible for her to spend more time watching over her children. She works from 10am until 5pm.

She’s asking for a 10000 lempira loan to buy raw materials like fabric, clasps, buttons, thread, etc. to make her articles of clothing and to be able to stay in business offering her customers quality products.

Her goal is that her children continue with their studies and to set up a barber shop for her 14 year old son.
