Selome 3 Group's story

The group SELOME 3 comprises eight persons who reside in the same district. This is the third time this group has requested financial aid from ALIDé to boost their business.

The group's representative, Séraphine, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 41 years old and married. Séraphine did not attend school. The couple have six children, all in school and in their care. Séraphine lives together with her husband and children. The couple share in covering the different household expenses.

To help meet the different needs of the family, Séraphine has been selling corn and yams door to door for eight years. This business enables her to support herself without much trouble. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales and her revenues, Séraphine, along with the other members of the group SELOME 3, is requesting a third loan from ALIDé. The first two loans were indeed repaid.

In this group: Séraphine, Jacqueline, Rosine, Armande Christiane, Bénédicta, Pascaline, Irène, Martine
