A loan of $750 helped to buy sheep.

Teofila's story

Teofila, 48, is an unassuming, cheerful woman. She’s lived with her husband, Mergildo, for 30 years. They have three children she cares for in her own house located in Chilca. The work this self-sacrificing woman does is buying and selling livestock, especially sheep that she buys at a lower price at the livestock market that takes place every weekend in the city.

She buys mainly young litters there that she cares for with much dedication and when they are mature she sells them at a higher price. She also has an additional source of income. She is a night caretaker at the local stadium and earns a salary at the end of each month which helps her to improve her income considerably.

Her greatest wish is to improve her income and to make her business grow obtaining more livestock and thus higher profits. “My husband works as a teacher and earns extra income there; I hope my children become professionals like him,” she affirms.

She belongs to the “San Fernando” communal bank and this is MFP loan #14. She feels happy because she found the help she so needed to reach her goals. She is responsible with all her tasks so promises to be punctual with her payments.

If Teofila were to receive your support, she will use the requested money to buy sheep in large amounts because around this time price is lower and she wants to take advantage of the season.
